About Us

Kentucky State Association of Insurance Women and the National Association of Insurance Women serve their Members by providing professional education, an environment in which to build business alliances, and the opportunity to make connections with people of differing career paths and levels of experience in the insurance industry.

KSAIW was formed and chartered with the National Association of Insurance Women (International) in 1983. The goals of NAIW and KSAIW are to promote insurance education, to support the professional advancement of its members, to cultivate fellowship within the state association and to strengthen loyalty to the industry. 

KSAIW is a very active group of insurance professionals. Since our formation, we have been involved in many activities within our industry and within our chapters which includes Ashland, Lexington, Louisville, Northern KY and Southern KY. In keeping with our goal to promote insurance education, we have kept our members abreast of insurance classes and seminars being offered through our National Association of Insurance Women, International.

Our legislative committee keeps our state members up to date about pending insurance legislation and encourages all of us to vote. Our state members are also active on a regional and national level. We have had representation at every regional and national convention since our existence. Several KSAIW members have also held elected offices and committee chairmanships on both the regional and national level.

Membership in KSAIW is open to anyone in the insurance industry and related industries, enabling our members to establish relationships with a wide variety of professional contacts on the local, state, regional and national levels.
