Director's Message
Spring 2009
Last night I finished my council director visits to
the Kentucky associations. Thank you all for your hospitality
and for welcoming me so whole heartedly. I was very
impressed with each meeting that I attended and came
away knowing each of you a little better. Each association
has its own style, yet each and every meeting was handled
in a most professional manner. I hope you got as much
out of my visit with your association as I did. You
are a phenomenal group of women!
The
questionnaires have been sent directly to Jenelle Duffy,
President of NAIW, Int’l. I plan on having a summarization
of all the Kentucky responses at our KY Council Meeting
in April. If there is anything in particular you want
presented more strongly and sent up the NAIW chain of
command as a recommendation or point of interest, please
send the request to me in writing and I will see that
it gets passed on to our RVP.
Times
are tough right now for many of us, but I hope we can
all pull together to keep the KY Council and each local
association intact, at least, and growing, at best.
Please let me know any concerns you may have in keeping
your association fundamentally strong. If there is any
way we can help each other, I am sure we can figure
out a way to make it happen.
On
a personal note I want to thank all of you for the support
you have given me this year during the “bad days”.
It’s painful to lose your love and best friend
as well as your mom, but having friends like the members
of NAIW to support and encourage you sure makes the
hard times easier to bear.
Again,
thank you so much for a wonderful year as your Council
Director. I hope the second year will be just as good
as the first!
In
fellowship,
Peggy
