BGAIW
has a member that has been around quite awhile but
has kept a low profile, up til now......Margie
Lowry, CISR, CPIW joined BGAIW more than
25 years ago and has been a very loyal member since
the very beginning. She specializes in bonds although
she got away from them for a few years while she worked
as a CSR in commercial lines. She is employed by Smith
- Manus surety bonds in Lexington where she has happily
gotten back to her specialty.

Margie
has held most of the offices in BGAIW and has chaired almost
all of the committees several times. She has also successfully
chaired the Christmas Auction, our major fundraiser, several
times.
She
is the current first vice-president of BGAIW and plans on moving
up to president for the 2007-2008 year. Over the years, she
has attended state and regional meetings and hopes to attend
the national convention in 2007. She is also our membership
chairman and has made great strides in trying to raise our membership
to her goal of at least 50 by the end of the year.
Margie
has taken numerous insurance classes and earned her CISR in
October 2005. She followed that up by taking NAIW classes and
earned her CPIW in June 2006. She was named BGAIW member of
the year during NAIW week in May 2006.
BGAIW
was also responsible for her being reunited with a high school
classmate. At a meeting one night, she started talking to a
new member at her table, when they suddenly realized that they
knew each other. They had graduated from high school together
and have now caught up on all those years and have remained
good friends ever since.
She is an active member of the Blue Grass Claims Association
and the Kentucky Claims Association.
