You could not ask for a better friend,
co-worker, team member and an insurance association member
than our March 2006 Kentucky
Thoroughbred. She is an individual that can be counted on when “the
chips are down” and pitches in to help make every task
a success. She is a dedicated and loyal member of NAIW, KSAIW,
LAIP, and NKAIW.
I
would like to tell you a little about our dearest friend,
Rose Welker, AAI, AU. She is witty,
a woman of many talents, very resourceful and knowledgeable
and shows
a true enthusiasm
for all levels in the insurance associations.
Besides being a mother and grandmother,
Rose is a dedicated employee of the Acordia of Kentucky,
Inc. insurance agency
in Louisville, Kentucky. She joined Acordia in April 1999 and
everyone in her office has a high regard for her. Her superior,
Pam Wessel speaks of her very highly. Pam told me “probably
her greatest asset to Acordia is her representation of women
as leaders and she does this in a terrific manner. Her position
at Acordia calls for her to handle all new business calls and
the placement for the main street accounts and programs and
she approaches her job with sincerity. She serves as a trend
of resources with a wealth of knowledge in the insurance field
and its coverages, as well as a great mentor to those with
whom she works and is involved.”
She joined the Louisville Association
in December 2000 and has been available where needed since
the day she joined. Currently
she holds the office of secretary for the LAIP and prior to
holding this office served on the Board of Directors. She has
served many committees including Committee Chairman for the
monthly LAIP bulletin during 2003-2004 and 2204-2005. She was
voted Insurance Women of the Year in 2004–2005 and continues
to work for the betterment of LAIP.
She is the current 2005-2006 KSAIW Custodian
of the Funds and works wherever she is needed on the state
level. She was
a big worker for Mary Stafford as State Director in her 2004-2005
campaign and worked very hard on Pearl Taylor’s campaign
to run as secretary on the national level in 2005.
On a regional level, she attended her
first regional conference in 2002 in Northern Kentucky and
has attended every regional
since. She has stepped up to the plate to assist wherever she
has been needed since that first regional conference and continues
to help whenever she is needed. She devoted many hours to Mary
Stafford’s campaign for RVP in addition to the many hours
she devoted to Pearl Taylor’s National Secretary campaign.
On the national level she has attended the majority of the
national conferences since Nashville. She approaches the National
level with as much enthusiasm as she does all the other levels.
